In reality, companies like Gamesys Group PLC have obtained licenses in such jurisdictions as Curacao for the sole purpose of providing online gaming services where online gaming is Illegal. The proceeds are laundered via shell companies from dubious financial service operators utilizing countries like Lithuania, which are known to have a rather relaxed regulatory regime.
We have brought a first report on the activities of brokers brands EuroTrader and LQDFX some ago. The EuroTrader group is regulated by CySEC for its activities in the EU. However, besides that, the group operates offshore mutations via entities in the Marshall Islands and South Africa. The FinTech emperor Ozan Ozerk controls both EuroTrader and the unregulated LQDFX. The British accountant Soteris Georgiou is also registered as Ozerk's long-time partner and accountant as the offshore entities' beneficial owner. Here is an update.
StormGain Review – A crypto trading platform with an interesting ecosphere
StormGain (www.stormgain.com) is an unregulated crypto trading platform operated by the offshore entity Stormgain LLC in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Currently, StormGain does not hold a license in any regulatory regime as a broker, investment firm, or financial services provider. Like Kraken, BitStamp, or other crypto brokers, StormGain lets you trade a range of crypto pairs. Partners of StormGain include Israel's Bits of Gold, Koinal, or Simplex. In December 2019, the Spanish regulator CNMV issued a warning against StormGain.
